What better way to bring in the Autumn than making crafts with the kids after an Autumn walk collecting sticks, cones, leaves and more?

This is a really simple craft which is Waldorf inspired.

You can make this any size you desire.  Ours ended up being around six feet tall but you can make them as tall as you wish.

This is a great craft for practising motor skills and for us, it makes a lovely decoration for our home.  All of us enjoyed making this, there was myself (a grown up), my 11, 6 and 3 year old.

Instructions:

Once you have the amount of sticks you want to make a mobile simply use yarn and slip knots to join them together for hanging.

These are great hung against a wall or hung freely.  Your choice, your creation!

I love the simplicity of this craft and how the kids enjoyed this Waldorf inspired Autumn craft, it’s one of my favourite times of year for crafting in the build-up to the festive season.

We use a lot of Waldorf inspired learning for our homeschool journey.  This Autumn craft is about being in nature and using nature in the home, natural, homemade decorations created as a family.  We also have a great supply of yarn which helps!
