This was one of our Christmas Advent Acvitivies and we all enjoyed it. We used a jam jar for this easy mason jar Christmas tealight craft.
You will need:
Tealight (battery operated)
2 or 3 ply white tissues
Lace or ribbon
Anything else you desire to decorate your mason jar with.
How to make your Mason Jar Christmas Tealight Craft:
Ensure the jar is clean and dry.
Cover with glue.
Split the tissue to one layer and place onto the glued jar. Alternatively use tissue paper.
Press the tissue firmly onto the jar, I love the effect of creased and slightly layered tissue.
If the tissue is too dry the brush with more glue before sprinkling with glitter.
Add any other decorations you desire such as twine, lace or ribbon.
Allow to dry and then use with a battery operated tealight and enjoy your festive handmade decoration.
These tealight holders are so easy to make. I love making handmade Christmas decorations and these turned our really well. These could make lovely gifts too. Throughout the year I always save jars especially if they are a little different and distinct. I would recommend using battery operated tealights though as they are so much safer than real tealight candles! I bought flickering natural looking tealights but you can get them in a variety of colours too.
