SUNDAY SNIPPETS – 7TH MAY 2017

Monday this week was a bank holiday weekend and we went to a local lake with sailing club.  We didn’t anticipate it being so cold and windy up there so for the first hour or two we felt pretty cold.  But in traditional British bank holiday style we still had a picnic outside.

I took a load of rope for the kids to do skipping as we went with a few families for the day out.  It was beautiful if a little grey!

This week also saw plenty of parks, a bike ride, fossil hunting and of course the beach.

The kids loved fossil hunting as part of their science study.

A great few examples of the fossils we found.

Another sunny day saw us meet with friends for a play in the forest, exploring nature, building dens and investigating an MRE meal.  I got the idea for testing a military meal from the Crazy Russian Hacker’s YouTube video.

This week was exhausting with lots filled into the week with home ed and outings.  I’m glad it’s now Sunday so that I can put my feet up for a little while ready for the week ahead!
