Affirmations are simple sentences or statements that are repeated to form a new belief.  You can use them frequently throughout the day to reinforce the affirmation and positive feelings that go alongside it.  Here are some tips and guidance for successful affirmations.

Affirmations are personal to you.  They help shift your thoughts and your feelings.

They can condition the subconscious mind and change negative thoughts and behaviours.

Affirmations can help shift your thoughts from negative self belief to positive self belief.  They can help you achieve your goals through Law of Attraction.  Whatever you speak and feel you begin to attract.

Tips for successful affirmations:

Make time and dedicate yourself to affirmations as part of your positive journey.

Use the present tense for example, I am beautiful, I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am happy.

Give feeling to what you are saying, actually believe in what your affirmations say.

If possible (and it may feel a bit odd at first) say your affirmations in front of a mirror, see, hear, feel believe.

Affirmations should be simple and easy to remember.

Never add a ‘but’ on the end such as ‘I am wealthy’, ‘but I can’t afford to go on holiday’.  Feel the positivity for your successful affirmations.

Write out affirmations and put them where you can see them such as on the bathroom mirror or on the inside of the kitchen cupboard door where you will see them when you make a brew.  Why not add some inspiring quotes while you are at it too.

Use YouTube as a source of affirmations.  There are meditations, affirmations with music or sounds of nature, there is an abundance of choice.


Affirmations have the power to transform your life.  The more you say your affirmations the more you will start to feel and believe them.  Teach your mind to attract what it wants.  Look for the good and positive in yourself and others and see how your world changes.
